With the succession of Raul Castro as the President of Cuba, it appears that things in Cuba are beginning to turn for the better. Castro has lifted many bans that were put in place by his brother, Fidel. He has also put in place many bits of legislation that will change Cuba's political system. The United States and other foreign governments are considering reopening trade with Cuba and some negotiations are currently underway.


The changes undertaken by Castro have been exposed as a ruse. Castro announced a few days ago that massive restrictions were going to be placed on Cuban citizens. This action closed negotiations on trade agreements, and began massive military conscription. The US Military Intelligence believes that Castro plans to expand his control of the Caribbean,with the help of a Russian GRU-SV8 Spetsnaz Unit who went rogue several years ago. The US Joint Chiefs have decided that a preemptive strike against Castro and the Cuban Military Forces, US Military forces are preparing to launch a massive Air Assault campaign from Homestead AFB and assault an area around the Presidential compound and key military instillations outside of Havana. USSOCOM forces are preparing to launch covert operations against key targets prior to the assault.

The worlds worst fear came to life. Communists forces rose up and launched an all out assualt across Europe. Coalition and NPCP forces first slugged it out across Fulda, Germany. Since then, most of the world became a battleground for the Coalition and the NPCP to fight for control of the free world. Though Coalition forces are holding their ground, the might of the NPCP holds a great advantage over them. Nuclear war is feared, and the main force of both sides controls the majority of the wordls nuclear armament.

As part of an initiative to prevent the flow of NVA and VC supplies, MACV-SOG teams have been running interdiction missions along the Ho-Chi-Minh Trail and cooperating with the CIA as part of the Phoenix Program. This has drawn the attention of the NVA. A few days ago, a SOG recon team photographed a large contingent of NVA soldiers moving towards the firebase. Upon reporting this to General Westmoreland, a mixed unit of 7th Air Cav and the 2nd Battalion/5th Special Forces Group have been mobilized to provide fire-support and extraction for the SOG recon teams in the operation codenamed: Broken Arrow. General Westmoreland has also ordered the group to seize and secure a Forward Operating Base in a nearby town to use as a command center to prevent an NVA incursion into the area. Lately, the Vietcong have been running harassment missions on the firebase and NVA forces are still building up along the border. Air Force Observation planes have also spotted an NVA camp a few miles Northwest of the border.

Tensions between Israel and Palestine have escalated again, and a full on war is inevitable. Car bombings have occurred near Israeli political centers and several Palestinian civilians were gunned down. Hamas terrorists have also issued terrorist threats to the U.S. embassy in Israel, saying that the American influence in Israel is part of the problem. Some of these threats have been followed through, including the car bombing of a U.S. Embassy in Israel. The U.S. Ambassador has also received death threats, and several assassins have already attempted to kill him, but U.S Marine Corps Security Forces have since upgraded to carrying Sub-Machine Guns as part of their security gear. The State Department has also issued a claim that the Ambassador may be evacuated from the area if tensions do not calm down.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has announced his country’s ability to test and build nuclear weapons. With the current build up of nuclear weapons around the world, the UN has sent a team to observe and analyze Ahmadinejad’s claim. Two weeks later, the team announces that Iran’s claims are true.

The UK and US have begun talking with the other World leaders at the G8 summit meeting this month about submitting a possible treaty and enforcing economic sanctions to President Ahmadinejad. However, an incident occurred between Iran and Israel, prompting the G8 to ask that the UN draft a treaty to remove all nuclear weapons from Iran and halt their weapons build up. If Ahmadinejad agrees to the terms of the treaty. By February of 2009, and the UN and Iran announce that all nuclear armaments have been removed from Iran by March 1st of 2009 the UN will lift the treaty and all economic sanctions placed upon Iran and no military intervention would be necessary.


Operation Blind Strike January 24th 2009

With the increase in the shipment of arms and drugs across the U.S., the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) in cooperation with the FBI, have initiated a plan that they call their Blind Strike Initiative. This plan targets the current influx of weapons and drug trade in Florida by the Dead Hand, a significant criminal empire who has connections to some of the largest criminal groups in the country. Their three part plan consists of;

1. Infiltrate the group and gain Intel on their contact, suppliers, etc.
2. Cut off their suppliers.
3. Arrest the leader of the Dead Hand, Jonathan Vann, and bring the groups actions to a halt.
